"Las
Vegas for me, Erin and Dorothy was fantastic!! Didn't
win any $$$ but we did receive a free return ticket anywhere Alaska Airlines
flies!! Care to join me in Cancun in May 2004
anyone?? We had a great time seeing all the latest mega casinos and caught 2
shows as well. The roller coaster ride at the New York
hotel was great as was the elevator ride/view from the Eiffel Tower!!
Found time for some cocktails and checked out the eye-candy...ohhhhh,
and we gambled here and there. Lost Erin on
the way home....but that's another long story! (What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right ladies)!! Until the next travel
adventure....ciao, Rose"
“Dancing at Rooster's Country Cabaret:
Thanks to all who came out to help me celebrate my birthday Roosters! Some of
us hadn't been there before, and it was just a blast! The rockin'
country live band played everything from Brooks & Dunn to AC/DC. For those
of you who haven't been before, Roosters is located in Pitt Meadows, and they
play a good mixture of rock and country music. It also has a great layout; no matter
where you sit or stand, you can see the band and the large dance floor. We all
had a great time, and after a few too many shooters later, I had completely
forgotten about the fact that I was yet another year older. ;-) I loved it, and would definitely recommend it
to anyone who wants a fun night of music and dancing…………Jennifer”
“It was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies November 9th,
when a group of 18 hikers did the Stawamus Chief hike
(second peak). It was a combined group of Rec-U and VAML. Most people had
already done at least one of the peaks before. It was not busy on the trail and
the group stayed well together with only a 5 minute "gap" between the
first and last person. It took us about 1hr to get to the top of the second peak,
where we all had our lunch and enjoyed the magnificent view. Everyone was in
for the idea to continue and also do the third peak, so about 15 min later, we
were at the last peak. Here we found a small pool covered by ice. Some just had
to try and see of it would break under their weight or not.....but it did. Too
bad nobody caught THAT on camera! We took the other way back, to complete the
loop. This was a very rough trail with loose rocks. The whole loop including
our breaks took us 3 hours. It was a pleasure to meet new people! Mark Hamann made his picture's available for you to look at: http://www.markhamann.com/pictures”
